Hi Everyone!
We are Tanya and Yvonne and we are the Morgan Sisters. We are actually twins (fraternal) and live together along with Yvonne’s spirited red-headed daughter, Rochelle. Rochelle is 5 years old and loves to help out around the land and in the kitchen. She is so creative and has actually made up her own bread recipe that tasted pretty darn good!
We live in Albany, Oregon and feel so blessed to have mild weather and bountiful crops. Our place is just far enough out of town to feel country yet still close enough to trot in for supplies if we need to. We are surrounded by farms and ranches. The Willamette River is right close by for an easy walk to play in on those hot summer days.
Our place is old and there is always something to do on the land. (if your looking for Martha Stewart here, then your outta luck!) We grow a big garden every year and have several fruit trees. You will see many of our recipes based on what is at hand depending on the season. We wouldn’t have it any other way!
there are other family members that are rather shy so you might not get to see or hear about the much…but we shall see. We raise chickens. They have such personalities. Plus, there is nothing like farm fresh eggs! We have cats and a bunny too.
Tanya is a stay at home Auntie to Rochelle and has had several spinal surgeries. Yvonne is a nurse..although it is scary times right now to be in the health care field. We both feel very passionate about helping others, whether human or animal, we all have a purpose in life!
We also love to cook. Tanya is the mastermind behind many of our recipes. She has this natural instinct when it comes to spices and herbs and makes the most amazing dishes!. Yvonne is superb at the quick and easy meals and coming up with solutions to make cooking easier (that is where the cooking hacks come to play).
We decided to start our Morgan sisters recipes blog because we like to share and be able to connect with other people. we all have to eat, right? Kitchen time should be fun and enjoyable. We believe that there is no better way of showing love and friendship than sharing a meal with others. The most important ingredient in any recipe is love.
We hope you will follow along as the Morgan sisters figure out this whole blogging thing and share your thoughts and ideas with us. We would love to hear from you. After all, we couldn’t very well be bloggers without the support of you.
